Jasper Winery, Des Moines, Iowa www.jasperwinery.com

As we make it through the cold winter months, things are actually pretty slow around the winery.  All of the 2009 wines have finished fermenting and are now slowly aging in either stainless steel tanks or Oak barrels.  Some of the lighter whites will be ready to bottle around April, while the dry reds will stay in the barrels until late summer.  Fortunately, we do have a few fun events coming up in the next month that are worth checking out.  Also, Madhouse Brewing Co. has begun making beer, and that should be available at some locations in the next month as well.
