What a great place to eat! Just 2 miles north of I 80 and about 12 miles west of Iowa City is Augusta Restaurant. Well worth the stop if you are near Iowa City. The atmosphere is very country and comfortable. The day we were there it was decorated with Mardi Gras decorations.

My wife had a grilled chicken club sandwich that had a smoked chicken breast with a homemade bun. As good as my wife’s sandwich was, the voted best in Iowa Tenderloin was out of this world in taste and size. The biggest tenderloin I have ever had. Made from a tenderized pork loin with a crispy breaded crust the tenderloin was 3 times as big as the bun. The sweet potato chips are a must try.

Watching the other customers receive their food I can guarantee you will not leave hungry with what ever you order. Au-gusta’s is a little New Orleans in Oxford Iowa.
