Barbara Rasko launched Make Mine Wine in June, 2006 under Rasko Publishing, LLC.
Rasko has more than 20 years experience in marketing and promotion, including 12 years with Midwest Living magazine, where she developed a strong background in writing, promotion, branding, added-value opportunities and sales. From in-store grocery promotions, to consumer photo contests, Rasko developed programs and promotions to satisfy advertisers’ needs for visibility and sales with consumers and their appropriate trade.
She is a graduate of Simpson College, where she graduated cum laude with a B.A. in English and an Iowa Teaching Certificate. She later directed the publication of three books for the Warren County Genealogical Society, taught adult education classes, and was active in numerous community clubs and organizations. She and her husband, Frank, have two sons, two daughter-in-laws and a grandson and granddaughter. Barbara lives in Indianola, Iowa, where she was elected to, and served for 10 years on the Board of Directors for the Indianola School District.
Barbara enjoys her family, boating, swimming and entertaining at their second home in the Lake of the Ozarks, genealogical research, and reading, crocheting, and traveling.
